Baba Is You is packed with secrets. Beyond the main overworld areas, there are hidden levels, secret rooms, and even an entire "Museum" that most players never see. Here's how to unlock them all.

If you only want the fastest secret route, prioritize The Museum first, then the Lake secret, then the Solitary Island path. Those three checks unlock the most useful optional content without requiring a full-completion sweep.

Before You Hunt Secrets

• Revisit the overworld after any major meta-rule level.
• Assume that overworld secrets usually depend on changing the map rule, not on solving a normal flag puzzle.

The Museum

What It Is The Museum is a massive bonus area containing alternate versions of many levels — often much harder or with completely different solutions. It's the ultimate challenge for dedicated players.

How to Unlock

1. Progress through the main game until you reach Depths (the dark underground area).
2. Find the level "Security Check" in Depths.
3. In Security Check, the solution requires you to make LEVEL IS OPEN and BABA IS YOU. Once you complete this level, a hidden path appears on the overworld map.
4. Return to the overworld and look for a new branching path near the Depths entrance. Follow it to the Museum door.

💡 Tip: If the path doesn't appear, double-check that you didn't use an alternate win condition that skipped the level's intended solution.

Lake Secret Room

What It Is A small hidden chamber inside the Lake area containing an extra, unlisted puzzle.

How to Unlock

1. In the Lake overworld, locate the cluster of water tiles near the top-right of the area.
2. Push the word LEVEL into the water near the isolated island.
3. Arrange the floating words to read LEVEL IS OPEN.
4. A hidden staircase appears on the island. Walk into it.

Solitary Island Hidden Path

What It Is A shortcut that bypasses several island levels, but also hides a secret level behind it.

How to Unlock

1. Complete Lake area normally to unlock Solitary Island.
2. On the Solitary Island overworld, locate the FLAG IS WIN text near the beach.
3. Push WIN onto the palm tree object to make TREE IS WIN.
4. Touch the palm tree. Instead of simply winning the map tile, a hidden cave opens on the cliff above.

Flower Garden Secret

What It Is The Flower Garden area has a hidden level where you can control a completely new object: the Sun.

How to Unlock

1. Reach the Flower Garden area in the overworld.
2. Look for the SUN IS HOT rule text near the entrance.
3. Push HOT away and replace it with YOU to create SUN IS YOU.
4. As the Sun, float over to the hidden alcove in the upper-left of the map tile.
5. The secret level "Photosynthesis" unlocks.

True Ending (The Final Secret)

What It Is Baba Is You has a secret "true ending" that requires completing a hidden meta-puzzle across the entire overworld.

How to Unlock

1. Beat the standard final level "Center" to see the normal ending.
2. Return to the overworld. You now need to find and complete every hidden level in every area (Lake, Island, Ruins, Forest, etc.).
3. Specifically, you must solve the following hidden levels:
   • Lake Secret Room
   • Island Cave
   • Ruins Backdoor
   • Forest Shortcut
   • Deep Forest Maze
   • Rocket Trip Hidden Launchpad
   • Flower Garden Photosynthesis
   • Chasm Bottomless Pit
   • Volcanic Cavern Magma Chamber
   • Museum Final Exhibit
4. After completing all ten, a new golden path appears leading from the overworld center to the True Final Level: "???".
5. Complete "???" to see the true ending.

⚠️ Warning: The true final level is one of the hardest puzzles in the game. It's recommended to practice advanced rule-crafting techniques (like chaining multiple IS rules) before attempting it.

Fastest Backtracking Order

1. Check the Museum unlock after Security Check.
2. Sweep the Lake overworld for the LEVEL IS OPEN secret.
3. Revisit Solitary Island for the hidden cave branch.
4. Only start the true ending sweep after the early secrets are confirmed.
