These ten levels represent the peak difficulty of Baba Is You. If you've made it this far, you already know the basics — but these puzzles will test your ability to craft multi-step rule chains, manage limited resources, and think several transformations ahead.
If you only want the fastest path through the current launch set, start with Tunnel, then Depths, then Queue, then Prison. Those four pages cover the main endgame skills: identity swaps, terrain conversion, automation, and map-wide rules.

Hard Baba Is You levels usually announce themselves through constraint, not size. A small map can be brutal if it gives you only one copy of IS, forces a moving object to act as a timer, or requires a rule to stay intact while you move around it.
Before opening a dedicated walkthrough, inspect the level for these signals:
| Signal | What It Usually Means | Good First Question |
|---|---|---|
One copy of IS | You must reuse grammar carefully. | Which rule can be broken temporarily? |
| Moving Keke or skulls | Timing or automation matters. | Can the moving object deliver a word for me? |
| Isolated words | The solution may involve floating, teleporting, or swapping control. | How can I reach the text without destroying the rule? |
LEVEL text | The map itself may need to open or transform. | Is this a local puzzle or an overworld puzzle? |
Several possible YOU objects | Identity swapping is likely. | Which object can stand where Baba cannot? |
Build WATER IS PUSH from floating text over sinking water.
Automate Keke while you craft the win condition elsewhere.
Turn clouds into pushable blocks before they vanish forever.
Swap into a wall tile to slide through a one-tile passage.
Rebuild BABA IS YOU from complete chaos.
Escape your cell by building LEVEL IS OPEN.
Turn conveyor belts into pushable blocks to stop the patrol.
Break FLAG IS HIDDEN to reveal the invisible flag.
Steal words from existing rules and reassemble them elsewhere.
Manage three layered maps and control the right Baba.
Use a three-pass approach instead of staring at the board until everything blurs:
WIN, changing YOU, or opening the level itself. Most endgame solutions become visible during the third pass. You may still need exact moves, but you will understand what the solution is trying to preserve.
| Skill | Levels |
|---|---|
| Rule harvesting | Burglary, Broken Playground |
| Map-wide rules | Prison, Security Check |
| Object swapping | Tunnel, Queue |
| Layer management | Triplets, Starry Skies |
| Timing and automation | Queue, Depths |
If the dedicated solutions feel too abrupt, practice these smaller skills in earlier levels:
BABA IS YOU without losing control for more than one move.WIN away from the flag and attach it to an object you can already reach. These drills sound simple, but they are exactly what the hardest levels combine under pressure.
If you can beat all ten of these levels without a walkthrough, congratulations — you've truly mastered Baba Is You.
Start with Tunnel if you want a compact identity-swap lesson. Move to Depths when you are ready for longer staging, then Queue when you want to practice automation timing.
They often hide the real goal. The board may look like a route-finding puzzle, but the solution is usually grammar management: preserving IS, moving YOU, or changing what counts as WIN.
Only after you understand the rule objective. If you memorize moves without understanding which sentence matters, the next hard level will feel just as confusing.
